Mission

Why we exist

ResortGolfer was founded on a simple observation: golf is one of the most-played and most-watched sports in the world, yet the quality of writing about it has not kept pace with the depth of the modern game. Strokes gained, biomechanics, materials science, course architecture, and travel logistics have all grown more sophisticated. The publications covering them, with rare exceptions, have not.

We exist to be the publication the modern golfer deserves — independent, technically rigorous, beautifully presented, and durable enough to be cited a decade from now.

Coverage

Six pillars

  1. Instruction — full-swing, short game, putting, mental, fitness, beginner
  2. Equipment Intelligence — independent clubs, balls, and technology reviews on a normalized 0–10 framework
  3. Courses & Travel — course profiles, destination guides, itineraries, architectural analysis
  4. Tour & News — analytics-driven PGA Tour coverage and substantive news briefings
  5. Science & Analytics — biomechanics, strokes gained, research synthesis, tools and calculators
  6. Reference Library — long-form learn essays, A–Z dictionary, FAQ, history, rules
Principles

What we will not do

  • · Accept payment for reviews, rankings, or editorial placement
  • · Publish equipment scores without a tested, disclosed methodology
  • · Cite secondary sources when a primary source exists
  • · Promote courses, resorts, or instructors with whom we have undisclosed commercial relationships
  • · Use AI to generate analysis or instruction without editorial review and attribution
